European Energy secures financing for two solar projects
European Energy has secured €33.3 million in financing for two solar parks.
It is the Polish mBank that has invested in the Danish developer.
- The agreement with mBank secures us the two solar parks in Poland and plays a significant role in the expansion of renewable energy in Poland, says Olga Sypola, Country Manager in Poland for European Energy, in a press release.
The two solar parks are being built in Pomerania and West Pomerania and will have a capacity of 70 MW. The Łobez PV Farm will have 16 MW, while the Dębnica Kaszubska solar park will have a capacity of 54 MW.
The production from the two farms will annually be 67 GWh, which corresponds to the electricity consumption of 17,600 European households.
The solar parks are already in the construction phase and are expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2024.
When the two parks are completed, European Energy will have 200 MW of renewable energy facilities in operation in Poland. Currently, the company has 5 GW of renewable energy projects in the pipeline in Poland.
