Last week, European Energy opened its first Power-to-X (PtX) plant in Denmark located in Måde, near Esbjerg.
In some ways, this is a completely ordinary hydrogen facility. A 3 MW electrolyser produces hydrogen which Esbjerg Harbor and the French gas company Air Liquide purchase under long-term contracts.
And yet, it's not quite that simple.
