Deckhand
For the offshore activities in FLC Marine, we are looking for a skilled Deckhand or the assigned vessels immersion pontoons for operation in the foreshore between Denmark and Germany. The Deckhand oversees the engine room watch and supports the operational continuity and safety of vessels by maintenance, project equipment and related matters.
Who is FLC?
The Deckhand on an Immersed Pontoon supports the pontoon's operational activities, focusing on the safe and efficient handling of winches and other deck operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with deck machinery, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work as part of a team.
Main responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Operate winches and assist with their maintenance.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of materials and equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the deck and equipment.
- Handle mooring lines during docking and undocking procedures.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures.
- Assist in emergency situations as part of the fire and safety team.
- Support the deck crew with various tasks as needed.
Qualifications / Experience:
- iExperience: Previous experience as a deckhand, especially with winches.
- Winch Operation: Proven ability to operate and maintain winches and deck machinery.
- Certification: Valid STCW certification or equivalent.
