Automation Software Designer

What you’ll be doing
In this position you will play a crucial role in enabling our global customer’s competitive edge through innovative solutions that increase their uptime and optimize their production across the entire chain of their production. You will be the customer’s closest sparring partner, ensuring a high technical standard that aligns with the projects. Here is what your daily tasks will involve:
- Prepare Functional specifications, Design specifications and Storyboards.
- Programming and setup of PLC, Safety, HMI, Servo and work with Structured Text, Ladder, Graph, Function Blocks.
- Reporting / follow-up on projects.
- Communicate internally with colleagues and externally with customers.
- Documentation in projects and ensure product maturity on software.
- Do version management and work in systems for structured task solving.
As part of the position, some travel activity in connection with projects must be expected.

The position refers to our Automation Manager and has a permanent base in our beautiful house of knowledge in Hedensted. What we’re looking for
We are looking for a curious Automation Software Designer to join our team. Most importantly, you should be passionate about automation, software development and driving continuous improvement. Our ideal candidate would have:
- At least 4-5 years of experience in automation
- We imagine that you have a background as a marine engineer or automation technologist
- Competences within PLC/HMI and preferably Servo programming and experience with Siemens S7/TIA.
- Experience in working on projects.
- Safety programming is included on the machines, so flair for this is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written
