Vestas opens new office in the USA
Vestas has opened a new office in Houston, Texas, known as the energy capital of the USA, according to Renews.biz.
The wind turbine manufacturer already employs over 500 people in Texas. The expansion strengthens Vestas' position in the leading wind energy state in the USA, where the company has installed more than 3,500 turbines.
- Houston is the ideal location to expand our office operations in the US due to its central location in relation to many of our wind projects, customers, and suppliers, says Laura Beane, President of Vestas North America.
The expansion means that Vestas now has offices spread across four time zones in the USA. The company services 315 wind farms in 31 states, underscoring their significant presence in the American market.
Texas accounts for 28% of all wind energy production in the USA in 2024.
