DONG har kig på flydende vindmøller
Installation af vindmøller på større og større havdybder har fået udgifterne til fundamenter til at eksplodere. DONG Energy har derfor vist interesse for Hywinds flydende vindmølle.

600 master til Jyllands el-motorvej
Selvom regeringens mål er at nedgrave alle nye højspændingskabler, så kommer kablerne på Jyllands nye el-motorvej ikke i jorden. Derimod opsættes 600 nye højspændingsmaster, der skal være med til at fragte strøm fra Norge, Sverige og vindmøllerne på Horns Rev til danskerne og det europæiske el-marked.

Suzlon Energy overvejer salg af Hansen Transmissions
Ifølge en indisk avis overvejer vindmølleproducenten Suzlon Energy at sælge dele eller hele sin ejerandel af gearproducenten Hansen Transmissions. Det er for at nedbringe koncernens gæld, at man går med salgstanker.

Forsyning: Dell går over til grøn energi

Produktnyhed: Ny kontorlampe sparer en fjerdedel af elforbruget

Vestas får ordre på 24 MW fra Ungarn
Vestas har modtaget en ordre på 12 vindmøller - 24 MW - til en vindmøllepark i Ungarn.

Vision: Atomkraft væsentlig energikilde i USA
Hvis Republikanerne får trumfet deres forslag igennem, skal der opføres 100 nye atomkraftværker i USA i løbet af de kommende 20 år. Atomkraft udgør en væsentlig del af den plan, som ledende republikanere præsenterede onsdag i Repræsentanternes Hus.

Kinesiske studerende i Danmark belønnet for flot klimaanalyse
Aalborg Universitet har i denne uge været vært for en klimakonference med fokus på nogle af de konkrete ting, som virksomheder, kommuner, borgere og universiteter kan gøre for at reducere klimabelastningen. Ungdommens idéer er der også skabt særligt plads for under den internationale konference Joint Actions on Climate Change, og studerende fra universiteter i ind- og udland har indsendt bidrag til en studenterkonkurrence med store pengepræmier.

Løsning Fjernvarme påvirket af faldende grise-produktion

Ny lov får prisen på fjernvarme i Nyborg til at stige

Omstridt omladestation til gylle nu på plads

Nyt forskningscenter vil gøre biobrændsel bæredygtigt
Det Strategiske Forskningsråd har bevilliget 22 millioner kr. til et nyt forskningscenter på Life - Det Biovidenskabelige Fakultet ved Københavns Universitet. Centeret vil udvikle nye bioteknologiske metoder, så det i fremtiden bliver muligt at udvinde biobrændsel af landbrugsaffald. Derved kan den samme høst bruges til både dyrefoder og bioethanol.

Et britisk parlamentsmedlem opfordrer nu den britiske handelsminister Lord Mandelson til at gå ind i kampen for at bevare Vestas’ fabrik på Isle of Wight.
